Visit Sydney's Oldest Rowing Club

Catch the ferry along the spectacular Parramatta River to the Abbotsford Wharf, home of the famous Sydney Rowing Club. Established in 1870, Sydney Rowing Club is the oldest rowing club in NSW with past members including A.B. “Banjo” Patterson and the first Prime Minister of Australia, Sir Edmund Barton.

Following our recent redevelopment, Sydney Rowing Club was awarded Best Club Development in 2009, Best Restaurant (Dedes Restaurant) in 2008, 2009 and 2010, Best Casual Dining Venue (Watergrill) in 2009, 2010 & 2011, and Best Wedding Services in 2009.

The club has multiple dining options, uninterrupted 270 degree water views, live entertainment, a variety of indoor and outdoor seating, and is located only 50 metres from Abbotsford Wharf. Sydney Rowing Club is truly the perfect venue to enhance any experience.
